Glass is the ultimate artistic canvas for lighting design. It incorporates light, color, texture, contour and sculptural form in a single medium that captivates the senses like no other.
Using recycled material from Hammerton's hot glass studio, artisans ladle molten glass into metal molds to create luxuriously thick cast glass diffusers. All molds and tooling used in our glass operations are designed, engineered and fabricated in-house.
Kiln-formed glass, also known as warm glass, involves slumping glass sheets in 1,200° -1,500° F kilns to create texture and shape. Most warm glass panels require two kiln passes to achieve their unique characteristics.
